Release Notes

  • By default, the log file has the following format: {Shortdate}.LOG.txt.
  • Only the unique words are extracted from the index files. Duplicates are ignored.
  • Although words in the WordNet data files can be present in both upper and lower case, SQLConverter will only process a word within a synset once.
  • During the conversion process of the exception files, SQLConverter will complain (in the log file) about failing to get the ids of some words. It is completely safe to ignore these errors because the exception files contain words that are not part of WordNet 3.0. This is documented here: WordNet Documentation
  • SQLConverter will also complain about failing to get any sentence ids for the word 'pet'. This is normal because the corresponding line in sentidx.vrb lacks that information as well.
  • In case of failure, WordNet::SQLConverter will stop the conversion process and drop the database it was working on.
